The Effectiveness of the Feldenkrais Method: A Systematic Review of the Evidence
Susan Hillier and Anthea Worley. Single studies reported significant positive effects for reduced perceived effort and increased comfort, body image perception, and dexterity. Considered as a body of evidence, effects seem to support the proposal that FM works on a learning paradigm rather than disease-based mechanisms.

Moving with Ease: Feldenkrais Method Classes for People with Osteoarthritis
Robert Webb, Luis Eduardo Cofré Lizama, and Mary P. Galea. Participants improved on gait parameters. They also reported a greater ease of movement. Conclusions. A 30-week series of Feldenkrais classes held twice per week was feasible in the community setting led to improvements in performance of the four square step test and changes in gait.

Feldenkrais Method Balance Classes Improve Balance in Older Adults:
A Controlled Trial Karol A. Connors, Mary P. Galea, and Catherine M. Said. The Feldenkrais Method ‘Awareness Through Movement’ classes use an exploratory learning approach, in which participants are verbally guided through movement sequences aimed at improvement of body awareness and movement organization. By developing spatial and kinesthetic awareness of body-segment relationships, the Intervention group showed significant improvement on all of the measures (ABC, P = .016, FSST, P = .001, gait speed, P < .001). The Control group improved significantly on one measure (FSST, P < .001). Compared to the Control group, the Intervention group made a significant improvement in their ABC score (P = .005), gait speed (P = .017) and FSST time (P = .022). These findings suggest that Feldenkrais Method balance classes may improve mobility and balance in older adults.
